I have been an English teacher to children and adults for 22 years. A highlight was becoming acting Head Teacher for an international bilingual primary school in Switzerland; working with young children there and in Hong Kong. I especially enjoyed combining Active learning, Montessori methods and a structured curriculum to ensure individual progress and a targeted teaching method.

With 30 years of experience teaching English Literature and Language to students from Year 7 to Year 13 in both the UK and Hong Kong, I am passionate about fostering student confidence and curiosity through dynamic, tailored teaching methods, and I am committed to ensuring that my student can express their ideas effectively. I have also been honored in the past by the U.S. Forestry Department's selection of me as one of their Texas educational representatives, where I was charged with traveling to public schools around the state of Texas to teach pop-up classes on Ecology and Forestry. However, the most rewarding part of my teaching career has always been getting to see my students’ succeed. Many of my students have carried on to be accepted by their school of choice and, likewise, many of my students have successfully raised their scores while learning tools that help them build resiliency, endurance and confidence.
